This is the website of
Michael J. Fairchild. I live in Charlotte, NC, with my wife
Shira and our two sons Daniel and Benjamin. I currently work at a bank, having previously been a postdoctoral researcher at
Princeton University. Prior to that, I completed my PhD in applied mathematics at the
University of North Carolina at Charlotte under the supervision of Scott D. Kelly (geometric mechanics and fluid dynamics) and Douglas S. Shafer (dynamical systems).
